Melon Festival in Alami village
Mingbuloq district, created in 1952, is the smallest district in Namangan region.
The district’s Alami village has long been known for its delicious melons. To restore its former glory and create a unique brand in the local and foreign markets, it is planned to hold an International Melon Festival in Alami, to which farmers from Andijan, Fergana, Namangan, as well as Sogd region of Tajikistan and Jalalabad region of Kyrgyzstan will be invited.
“Mingbuloq Export Agro Tomorqa Khizmati” is implementing a project on growing melons on 100 hectares on Qolgandaryo district, processing them by sublimation and export. As a result of the launch of this project, over 200 jobs will be created next year. Finished products will be exported to European countries, UAE, Russia, China and Indonesia, the volume of exports will amount to $4.3 billion.
