Leaders of Uzbekistan and Türkiye discuss current issues on the bilateral agenda

As part of the first day of the program of stay in the city of Kazan, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit.

Current issues of further deepening comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye were discussed in detail.

The leaders of the two states emphasized the importance of increasing multifaceted cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

The presidents spoke in favor of continuing intensive contacts and fruitful exchanges.

Particular attention was paid to promoting cooperation projects in geology and mineral resource extraction, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, healthcare, education, and other industries.

The need for regular joint cultural and humanitarian events was noted.

The leaders also exchanged views on important aspects of the international and regional agenda.
