President Shavkat Mirziyoyev: “Planting a tree with love should become the culture of the people, the mahalla”

The implementation of the nationwide project “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) was considered at the meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The task was set to plant 75 million fruit and ornamental tree seedlings by the end of the year, and in the spring months of 2023 – another 125 million seedlings of fruit and ornamental trees as part of the “Yashil Makon” project.

Based on the experience of last year, from October 20 to December 1, 40 action days for planting seedlings will be announced.

The need for active promotion of planting more fruit trees and vegetables in the yards of residents and along the edges of the fields was noted.

“Planting a tree with love should become the culture of the people, the mahalla”, the President said.

Hokims of the regions were instructed to provide 500,000 low-income households with 10 pieces of fruit tree seedlings free of charge in the autumn season. Following the meeting, reports and proposals of officials were heard.
