1) Why did your company decide to start business cooperation with Uzbekistan?
- We heard a lot about Uzbekistan, its history, role and place development of human civilization in the Islamic world. Along with this, we are observing the modern development of the country, we see that favorable conditions are created for doing business, there are growth prospects in the CIS regional market, the republic is strengthening ties with Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We also took into account the huge potential of Uzbekistan - its natural resources, developed agriculture, skilled personnel, great tourism opportunities and much more. Based on this, we decided to start a business in Uzbekistan.
2) What sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan do you plan to invest in?
- In February 2019, representatives of our company visited Uzbekistan to study all aspects and promising areas for investment cooperation. Meetings and negotiations were held, and following the results of discussions, we decided to implement such projects as the establishment of a Halal Products Certification Center in Uzbekistan, the expansion of air and freight transportation, and the installation of equipment for the treatment of household waste and industrial water. We plan to start all these projects as quarantine in Uzbekistan ends. Our projects will allow everyone to benefit, including the creation of new jobs for Uzbekistan's citizens.
3) What features and advantages can you note in cooperation with Uzbekistan?
- The first thing we noticed is that people living in your country are very friendly, open, they are well educated, hardworking and very hospitable.
The combination of natural resources, including the excellent palatability of agricultural products, ongoing reforms on industrialization, wide opportunities for business development inspire confidence that we have chosen the right partner.
I would also like to note that the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Singapore and the Government of Uzbekistan in every way guide and support us along the entire path of our activities in the republic. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to them for fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation.
We also thank you for sharing your plans with us. We hope that we will meet with you after a while, when you can talk about the first successful results of ongoing projects.
