The President of Uzbekistan receives U.S. Senator

On November 5, during his working visit to Washington, D.C., the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received U.S. Senator Steve Daines, Co-Chair of the Senate Central Asia Caucus, at his residence.
Issues of strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States were reviewed.

The President of Uzbekistan highly praised interparliamentary engagement, particularly the work of the Central Asia Caucus, currently active in the U.S. Senate.
The unprecedentedly high level of bilateral cooperation was noted with satisfaction. Mutual trade is growing, and the number of successful joint projects with leading American companies continues to increase.

In recent months, agreements and contracts have been concluded in record amounts. During the current visit, the signing of new economic documents is planned. The importance of U.S. Congress support for the practical implementation of these agreements was emphasized.
Special attention was given to continued active cooperation with the state of Montana, represented by Senator Steve Daines. An agreement was reached to organize a business mission from Montana to Uzbekistan.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on current international and regional issues of mutual interest.
