Investment potential of Uzbekistan attracts interest of Singaporean business community

A presentation of Uzbekistan’s investment potential was held at the c (SICCI), one of Singapore’s oldest business associations, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by representatives of leading Singaporean companies operating in the fields of food production, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and logistics.
Participants were provided with detailed information on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, the favorable investment climate, benefits available in the country’s free economic and industrial zones, and the republic’s export potential.
Manraj Sekhon, Chief Investment Officer of Templeton Global, delivered a presentation on the activities of the National Investment Fund of Uzbekistan, whose assets are now managed by the company. He also highlighted the country’s favorable investment conditions and vast opportunities for business development.
He praised Uzbekistan’s ongoing economic transformation and described its market as the most attractive in Central Asia, encouraging attendees to explore business opportunities in the country
Singaporean business representatives at the event expressed keen interest in cooperating with Uzbekistan and received answers to a range of questions.
As a result of the presentation, an agreement was reached to send an SICCI business delegation to Uzbekistan in September this year and to hold business forums in various regions of the country.
