The President of Uzbekistan receives the Chairman of Euronews Pedro Vargas

As part of the Tashkent Investment Forum program, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews, Pedro Vargas.

Issues of developing cooperation with this leading media company, including efforts to raise awareness among the broad Euronews audience about Uzbekistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage, significant political and economic developments, and its investment and tourism potential, were addressed.

The Head of State welcomed the active efforts to implement joint information projects and train professional personnel, as well as Euronews’ plans to open an office in Tashkent.

Plans were supported to train Uzbekistan journalists according to advanced professional standards under the Euronews Academy program.

To ensure systematic cooperation across all promising areas, an agreement was reached to develop a joint roadmap.
