The constitutional reform reflects human interests, honor and dignity in New Uzbekistan
In recent years, grandiose changes and transformations are taking place in Uzbekistan. The constitutional reform process is now in full swing in the country.
Today, every citizen, using his/her rights and freedoms, contributes to the process of updating the Basic Law of the country. Every citizen has the right to vote regardless of social origin, religion, nationality and language. The referendum is a multifaceted institution in its form, consequences and significance. This nationwide event is important as a form of direct democracy.
First, the referendum is an attractive tool for expressing the will of voters. The very fact of direct participation of citizens in state reform is an extremely important process.
A citizen participates in the voting process on the amendments put forward by the initiators of the referendum, knowing in advance which question he should answer. The draft Constitutional law put forward for the upcoming referendum and this process as a whole is the foundation laid for the peaceful and prosperous life of our people. In a word, the idea of “In the name of human honor and dignity”, as well as the main principle of our current reforms – “person – society – state” are enshrined in the Constitution and becoming the main value of our life.
Every voter will vote for the consolidation as a constitutional norm of the current reforms aimed at implementing the principle of “New Uzbekistan – a social state”, building a philanthropic state, strengthening the protection of human rights and social protection, fully ensuring the rights and interests of young people.
Issues such as human life, freedom, honor and dignity, inviolability of rights and interests, the principle of “Uzbekistan is a social state”, the development of a free and fair civil society, the construction of a humane, democratic rule of law are identified as priority areas of constitutional reform.
The renewed Constitution will serve as the most important legal basis for the comprehensive regulation of all areas of the life of our society and the democratic development of Uzbekistan. The new norms included in the draft Constitutional law will contribute to the development of all spheres, including a more effective organization of state power.
As President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted, “The people are the only source and author of the Constitution”. Only in this way each of our compatriots will be able to say with pride that “The New Constitution of Uzbekistan is My Constitution”. All the amendments and additions introduced to the Constitution will allow our state to become even stronger and more powerful, and the people of Uzbekistan, regardless of nationality, to become even more united, mobilizing on the way to great goals.
The referendum is another opportunity to realize our dreams. Therefore, by our participation in the constitutional reform process, we must create a solid foundation so that we, our families and our children can live freely, safely and happily on this sacred land.
