II International Legal Forum "Tashkent Law Spring" is being held in Tashkent
On April 22-23, 2021 the II international legal forum "Tashkent Law Spring" is being held in Tashkent.
The Republic of Singapore was represented at the Forum by: H.E. Mr. Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam Minister of Law and Minister of Internal Affairs; Mr. Gregory Vijayendran the President of The Law Society of Singapore and Mr. Anil Changaroth, Mediator of the Singapore Mediation Center, Singapore Family Court.
Minister Shanmugam gave a welcome speech and participated in a panel discussion on the topic of “Implementation of a unified state legal policy: Current challenges and future trends” on April 22, on the sidelines of the Forum, a separate meeting was held between the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. R. Davletov and the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Mr. K. Shanmugam, during which the parties discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation, and in this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two ministries.
At the discussion session "LegalTech and LawTech: Trends and Prospects", Mr. G.Vijayendran, President of the Singapore Law Society, made a presentation, who informed the audience about the vision and efforts of Singapore in the promotion of legal technologies since 1990 to the present, and also dwelled on the ecosystem and innovations in jurisprudence and law, in particular in the courts of Singapore.
Information on the implementation of a system of convenient and secure access to forensic information, file management via email reminders, and the “SG Courts” mobile app designed for secure access to case materials, court calendar, upcoming hearings, etc.
April 23 - on the second day of the Forum, Mr. Anil Changaroth the mediator of the Singapore Mediation Center, the Singapore Family Court is planned to speak as the speaker on the discussion session "Mediation and Arbitration in the Period of Coronavirus Restrictions". Mr. A. Changaroth, will share the experience of the Singapore International Arbitration Center, Singapore's plans in the post-pandemic period COVID -19, mediation in resolving conflicts and resolving disputes in the infrastructure sector, etc.
The II international legal forum "Tashkent Law Spring" is continuing its sessions on 23 April by engaging in a comprehensive discussions between international and local layers and experts.
