One-time financial assistance for 500,000 soums for each child will be provided
On 26th of August, 2020, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On additional measures for social support of the population”, which is aimed at mitigating the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
This act is a logical continuation of the work begun within the framework of the national movement "Kindness and Support", reflecting the historical and moral values of our people, and aims to provide children from needy families with sets of winter clothing, school uniforms and educational supplies.
In accordance with the resolution of the Head of State, in September of this year, one-time material assistance will be provided to the following categories of the population:
first, children under the age of 16 from families receiving pensions and survivors' benefits;
second, children with disabilities under the age of 16.
third, children under the age of 16 from families included in the lists of families in need of material assistance and support ("temir daftar");
The amount of one-time financial assistance is set at 500,000 soums for each child.
These measures of material support will cover more than 810,000 children, for which more than 400 billion soums of budgetary funds will be spent.
In addition, the resolution stipulates centralized influenza vaccination of employees of preschool, general education and medical institutions of the republic by 1 October 2020.
The number of employees of preschool, general education and medical institutions, which will be vaccinated, will be about 1.5 million people.
In order to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of the measures provided for by the resolution to the relevant ministries, departments and public authorities on the ground, it was instructed to organize work on targeted and targeted distribution of funds with the establishment of strict control in this area.
