A meeting between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan takes place
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
Issues related to the practical implementation of high-level agreements were reviewed, including measures to increase trade turnover and to accelerate the implementation of essential cooperation projects in industry, transport, energy, and infrastructure.
The importance of continuing active interregional contacts and cultural and humanitarian exchange was emphasized.
The presidents also exchanged views on current regional issues.
