Leaders of Uzbekistan and the United States welcome the elevation of the bilateral strategic partnership to a new level

On November 6, as part of his working visit to Washington, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the United States Donald Trump at the White House.
The President of Uzbekistan signed the White House Guest Book.

The leaders then held talks in the Oval Office, during which they discussed enhancing the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, strengthening political dialogue, and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and cultural and humanitarian fields.

Special attention was given to the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level in New York this past September.

An exchange of views took place on current global and regional issues, including the deepening of cooperation between Central Asia and the United States within the “C5+1” format.

The President of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated Donald Trump on significant achievements in both domestic and foreign policy. He highlighted President Trump’s personal contribution and efforts toward the peaceful resolution of acute international and regional conflicts.

Donald Trump welcomed the productive outcomes of the meetings and negotiations held the previous day between the Leader of Uzbekistan, representatives of the U.S. Government, and heads of major American companies and financial institutions.

The leaders emphasized the importance of establishing and strengthening institutional mechanisms to advance joint projects.
Following the talks, the President of Uzbekistan invited the President of the United States to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan at a convenient time.
