The President concludes his working visit to Qatar

The working visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the State of Qatar has concluded.
As part of the visit, the President of Uzbekistan attended the Second World Summit for Social Development, where he put forward several vital initiatives aimed at strengthening global partnerships for sustainable and inclusive social progress and at enhancing socio-economic development.

In Doha, the Leader of Uzbekistan also held fruitful talks with the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
At Hamad International Airport, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was seen off by Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Ali Al Thani, along with other officials.

At the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump, the Leader of Uzbekistan departed on a working visit to Washington, D.C., where he will take part in the “C5+1” summit of Central Asian leaders and the United States.

In accordance with the visit program, the Head of State will hold meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump, members of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as with the heads of U.S. ministries and agencies.

The discussions will focus on expanding and strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, primarily in trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian spheres, as well as on deepening interregional cooperation between Central Asia and the United States.
As part of the business agenda, meetings and events involving the leaders of major American companies and financial institutions are planned.

Several bilateral and multilateral documents are expected to be adopted following the events.
