President arrives in Samarkand
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in the city of Samarkand to participate in the events of the first “Central Asia – European Union” summit.
Today, the Head of state will hold an informal meeting with the President of the European Council, António Costa.
Several bilateral talks with the heads of delegations participating in the summit are scheduled for tomorrow.
On April 4, the main multilateral events will take place, with the participation of the Heads of state of Central Asia and the leaders of key European Union institutions.
