The military of Uzbekistan took second place in the British "Cambrian patrol"
The servicemen of Uzbekistan took second place in the Cambrian Patrol competition. Among the tasks were reconnaissance of the area, overcoming a mountain river and minefields, freeing hostages and interrogating prisoners of war. Participants were also tested for knowledge of the Geneva Convention.
According to the results of the international competition "Cambrian Patrol", which was held in the city of Brecon (Great Britain) among reconnaissance and special units, the servicemen of Uzbekistan took second place, the press service of the Ministry of Defense told Gazeta.uz.
The victory in the competition was won by the British team, the team of Pakistan closed the top three.
The competition included several tasks in a strip 90 km long, where participants completed several combat missions every 8-10 km: overcoming an infected area of 3 km long using protective equipment, reconnaissance of the area, crossing a mountain river, providing first aid to the wounded, evacuating the wounded , the passage of minefields alone and as part of a group, a raid on an enemy object, the release of hostages and the interrogation of prisoners of war.

In addition, the teams participating in the competition passed eight “test surprises”. Such tasks were performed as determining the type of weapons and military equipment of foreign states, adjusting artillery fire with the help of simulation and communication facilities, fulfilling military topography standards, passing tests of the Geneva Convention (standards of humane treatment during war), preparing and issuing reports on reconnaissance , compliance with the standards for training in communication, a report on the activities carried out and readiness to perform the following tasks.
In total, 144 teams from 24 countries of the world took part in the Cambrian Patrol. In particular, servicemen of intelligence and special units of the Armed Forces of Great Britain, Uzbekistan, Kosovo, Greece, Ireland, Germany, Latvia, France, Ghana, Italy, India, Poland, USA, Switzerland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Wales, Nepal, Scotland fought for victory. , Australia, Pakistan, Mexico, Albania, Chile, Kazakhstan and New Zealand.
The team of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan in 2019 became the winner of this competition, and according to the results of the competition in 2020 and 2021, it took second place.
