Uzbekistan – Belarus: A New Stage of Cooperation
Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus has been developing rapidly in recent years. In particular, large joint projects are being implemented in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, textile and food industries, tourism, and agriculture.
A delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus is visiting Uzbekistan to strengthen the partnership further and achieve effective agreements.
The Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, held a meeting with members of the delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Sergei Bartosh.
During the dialogue, new stages in the development of cooperation were discussed, such as increasing the types of agricultural and food products, processing of meat and dairy products, livestock breeding and veterinary medicine, and agricultural sciences.
As part of the visit, the guests visited the Tashkent State Agrarian University and got acquainted with the exhibition, which presented the developments and discoveries of doctoral students, researchers, and talented students.
Views were exchanged on the productivity, high quality, and export opportunities of new varieties of lemon, blueberry, and blackberry created by university researchers.
The laboratory for microbiological analysis of food products and methods of extracting juice and drying fruits aroused serious interest among Belarusian representatives.
Members of the delegation noted the work of the experimental testing laboratory, the originality of the hive equipped with a special chip, and an innovative solution that allows constant monitoring and protection of bees from the cold by regularly monitoring the temperature.
